About Athena
Athena Navarro brings more than 10 years of experience to your coaching relationship. Athena worked as an executive recruiter, before starting her own search firm, The Elitist Group, which she opened in 1999. Her success in coaching her candidates and their spouses in behavior modification during the process and adjustment in a variety of professional situations provided the base for her expansion into personal coaching as well.
Athena regularly attends Dr. Pat Allen seminars based on the principles of her books Getting To I Do, Staying Married and Loving It and is currently enrolled in The Want Institute's Advanced Training Program for Coaches and Therapists in Androgynous Semantic Realignment for 2008-2009. She has also completed several Organizational Development and Self Help workshops including Byron Katie's School for The Work in Bad Neuenahr, Germany. She has been able to handle working full time and having quality time to enjoy her interests, while practicing these principles in dating, a few long term relationships, one engagement, and a cancelled wedding. She is still smiling today using her well-earned and valuable insight and experiences, and now helps her clients find success in the dating world, in getting engaged and getting married, or in strengthening their marriages.
The common thread amongst all of her clients is the desire to learn how to communicate more effectively and maintain healthy relationships. Her corporate clients range from Fortune 500 companies to small privately held companies, including entertainment studios. Her personal clients include celebrities, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, artists, and housewives.
In her free time she enjoys travel, fine dining, live music, and theatre.
